Clementine

Description

Clementine is an orphan and was always seen as weird or a trouble maker by other kids her age and the adults. However, she doesn't have any bad intentions or tries to have bad behavior at all. Her curiosities and greater-than-usual physical strength get her in accidents. Whenever something was considered forbidden, she just can't help but want to explore it. This is how she ended up on the surface land.

In Kelpie Kingdom, the merfolk are not allowed out of the nation unless they are a knight sent on a mission or royalty. This is for safety reasons, to avoid being hunted and killed by humans. The Portal Ponds are how they are able to reach destinations easily on land. Clementine was always curious about the surface, and she neared the Snowblind-Oak Forest Portal Pond. When she entered the current and reached the pond, as she's looking around at the unique animals there, she gets pulled by a fishing hook all of a sudden. She gets pulled out with force after resisting, and she flies out of the water into the air and landed face to face on Simon. They both fall to the floor. She changes into her human form and sits up after her dizziness goes away. Simon seems to freak out as he apologizes to her, and offers her to come back to the group's base so that she can be taken care of. She smiles and agrees since this is the first human she meets and seems friendly enough.

Important Relationships

Canon

Clementine likes to train her sword fighting skills with Canon and Marmalade. She gets a bit embarrassed sometimes when she gets scolded by Canon because she and Simon did troublesome things as kids do. However, she feels comfortable with Canon and the others because she feels that with them, it's the first time she gets to be herself without hiding parts of her personality. She feels a sense of relief whenever Canon shows up in times of trouble too. Canon showed her that her qualities are not weird and should be hidden, but that she should embrace them and use them for good.

Marmalade

Clementine thinks of Marmalade as her best friend. She loves to drag her along for any hangouts she wants to do. Marmalade is a bit more shy than her, so she kind of has to. She likes to have sleepovers with Marmalade whenever they happen to be at home. She likes to talk to Marmalade about her interests, and loves to hear from Marmalade too. She likes to give Marmalade temporary makeovers for fun too.

Simon

Clementine enjoys the company of Simon and likes to hangout with him too. Her curious nature gets worsened when she's with him though. She finds Simon's interest in fish a bit humorous and loves to hear him talk about it to her. She also shares things she knows about sea animals since she is more knowledgable on that than he is. She also has a collection of trinkets that he got as gifts from him over time.

Bradley

Clementine has a bad habit of laughing whenever Bradley gets upset over a prank Simon pulled on him. Clementine also feels awkward whenever Marmalade and Bradley argue and is not sure what to do most times, but she chooses to go with Marmalade.

Judith

Clementine sometimes goes with Marmalade to Judith's workshop to talk to her and also watch her forge weapons. Judith is like a big sister neither of them had and they can talk to her about girl stuff.

Chimalli

Clementine doesn't get to interact much with Chimalli since he's shy, but she asks how he is every time.
